A MESSAGE OF THANKS FROM LARRY JOE DOHERTY
I want to thank the voters of CD 10 for giving me the honor to represent them as their Democratic nominee for Congress.
Over the past six months I’ve met so many honorable people who proved they are ready and willing to reclaim our government. I want to thank all those who welcomed me into their homes, into their Democratic clubs and civic organizations, who gave of their time and money, and all those who cast a vote on March 4th to hold government accountable.
I also want to thank Dan Grant. Pundits and the media referred to us as Democratic primary opponents. But it was clear from the start that we were fighting for the same cause, although only one of us would be able to carry the banner to November. That doesn’t make us opponents; that makes us colleagues, and Dan’s insights into foreign affairs and commitment to involving new people in the process will always have my respect.
Now the real work begins as we set our sights on defeating Mike McCaul, work to bring our troops home from Iraq, fight for real health care reform, and establish new consumer protections to stop the financial special interests from picking the pockets of the middle class.
Mike McCaul has gotten away with hiding behind George Bush and Tom Delay. But when we stand together, there is no place he can hide.
Sincerely,
Larry Joe's Accountability Watch
